As a curator, Jessie Artemis Miller has imagined and executed exhibitions in Colorado, New York, Arizona, New Mexico, Maryland and abroad in Azerbaijan, Botswana, and South Africa. She is interested in pan-sensory art experiences, silent pedagogy, providing a platform for underrepresented narratives, dissolving the hierarchical structures imposed that divide art from spectator, and sparking dialogue by relating exhibitions to relevant contemporary themes. To quote Elaine Heumann Gurian, we should strive for museums to be "safe spaces for unsafe ideas."
